If I come as a visitor, will you point me out and make me stand up?
Not at all. Being a very friendly and welcoming congregation, several people may notice that you are visiting for the first time and they will probably say, "hello" before church starts, but we will not embarrass you by making you stand up and introducing yourself.

What is the format for the service? Lots of traditional rituals or no ritual or ??
Our Traditional Services have some rituals like saying the Lord's Prayer every Sunday and we may use liturgy during Holy Communion. During our Traditional Services our pastor wears a robe. During our Contemporary Service our pastor is in his "regular clothes" and there is little to no liturgy or rituals. If you are someone who grew up in a ritualistic environment with church and prefer that type of service, you will probably feel more comfortable at one of our Traditional Worship Services. On the other hand, if you prefer a more relaxed environment with little to no ritual, you will probably prefer our Contemporary Worship Service. Many people try out all three services before they decide on one!

What kind of sermons does the pastor give? Will I understand what he is talking about?
Our pastor, in his own unique way, teaches from the Bible, but teaches it using modern terms that anybody can understand and apply to their own lives. We recommend reading or listening to one of his sermons here on this website.  Our pastor has a very unique style, and he can draw you into his message very easily.  His style is not condemning, nor is it judgmental. 

I haven't been to church in a while; I won't know what to do. Will I be embarrassed?
We sure hope not! Our services are designed for the life long church person and for the person who has never been in a church. Like any new place, there may be some routines that take a day or two to get accustomed to, but for the most part you should feel comfortable pretty quickly.

Will I really be welcomed?
We welcome everyone. It doesn't matter what your history is, what you look like, what your lifestyle is, rich or poor, or anything else! We are not here to judge you - none of us are in any position to judge anyone else. 

What should I wear?
Come as you want! Some people in our Traditional Services will be wearing their "Sunday's Best" but if you feel more comfortable in a pair of jeans, then by all means, wear jeans. At our Contemporary Service you will probably see a lot more jeans and shorts than you will slacks, but wear what you want.  It is more important that you are dressed in a style which helps you draw closer to God – for some people it is a dress, others it is jeans. 

I am not a member; am I allowed to take Holy Communion?
We believe that anyone and everyone can join us for communion. You do not need to be a United Methodist, a member of our church, or a member of any church or denomination. We realize that Christ died for everyone - not just one church or denomination.

What type of music will I hear?
During our Traditional Services, we sing hymns you may have grown up with if you went to church as a child.  Our Contemporary Service features songs you can hear on any modern Christian radio station.

What type of Sunday services do you offer and what time are they?
We offer an intimate Traditional Service at 7:45, a standard Traditional Service at 9:00, and a higher energy Contemporary Service at 10:30.  They are all unique services and we would encourage you to tryout all three of them.  Our 7:45 service lasts about 45 minutes and our other two services last about an hour.

I have an infant, do you offer a nursery?
Yes we do! Our brand new nursery is conveniently located right off of our main entrance. You may drop off your infant up to 20 minutes before the service begins.

Do you offer Children’s Sunday School?
Yes we do! Right after our children’s message your child can go straight to Sunday School or, if you prefer, they are welcome to stay in the service. We offer Sunday School during our 9:00 and 10:30 services.  Some of our members have their kids go to Sunday School during the second service and join them for worship in the third service.

Do you offer Adult Sunday School?
Yes we do! We offer Adult Sunday School after our 9:00 and 10:30 services.

You are now in a stip-mall.  Are you ever going to have a building of your own?
That is definitely a possibility!  We are just moving into this new location so it's hard to say what God has in store for us next, but we assume it will be a "building of our own."

What are some of your core beliefs?
--Serving others and Christian faith go hand in hand.
--We find peace with God and spiritual fulfillment both in solitary moments of reflection and in a community of faith.
--Our Church is made up of people who share faith in Jesus Christ and those who are searching for God.
--We seek to make our private and our public actions congruent with our faith.
--In practice, we are similar to other Protestant denominations, affirming our beliefs through the sacred symbols of baptism and communion.
--We believe that salvation comes through the grace of God - not through our own works.

What are your beliefs about Baptism?
We believe in one baptism for life– whether as an infant or an adult. 

Why don't you Re-Baptize? 
Nowhere in the Bible do we read about a second Baptism with water.  We think God gets it right the first time!

I'm not a member of your church, would you Baptize me or my child?
Absolutely!  Nowhere in the scriptures did someone have to join a church to be Baptized, why should we require anything different?  If you aren't a member of our church but seek Batism for you or your child, pleace contact the church office! Our pastor loves to Baptize people!

Are your services Bible based?
Beyond a doubt.  Our pastor has different sermon series through the year, all based off of different people in the Bible, different events, or different topics.  All of his messages are based on scripture.  He does a great job explaining the scripture in "easy to understand terms" and what it means for us today.  You will not be "beat over the head" with the Bible!
